Thanks to the insight from the GoProposal members in the Community, we’ve got four big new features hitting your GoProposal app.
Through the collaborative conversations we’ve had with you, we’ve developed even clearer ways to communicate your services, fees and the value you bring to your clients, as well as a seamless integration with GoCardless.
With the help of the wonderful geeks on our end we worked those features into the app, and I am excited to present them to you today.
The Alignment Fee has replaced the Mid Year Catch Up feature.
It is used when you’re on-boarding a client partway through their year and describes the missed payments for services that would have been charged over the full 12 month period, such as Annual Accounts.
It is designed to bring the client’s payment into alignment with their ongoing monthly fee, by paying for those missed months either as a one-off payment or spread over the remaining months of the year.
As well as changing the name, we’ve done a lot of work around the clarity of the wording and presentation of this feature in the proposal, to give greater confidence to you and your team when communicating this fee to clients.
Section Sub-Totals enable you to present a set of services as one fee. So let’s say you’re providing several bookkeeping services to a client, they will want to know exactly what they’re getting and at what level, but you may only want to communicate an overall fee for that set of services.
This can work especially well for complex services such as tax projects, where many factors could be contributing to the overall price. This features gives ultimate control to you and total clarity to your clients.
You can now link to your GoCardless payment process to GoProposal to prompt your clients to set up their direct debit mandate upon signing the letter of engagement, for a seamless and efficient process
This integration gives you more control so you can choose the exact experience that you want for your clients.
Enhanced Calculation Interface
We made some subtle changes in the way the calculation panel is presented, so it gives you more control over certain features, whilst being discreet.
You now have a new layout for:
- Breakdown of the services button, which is now presented as an eye icon
- Annualised fees button, which is now called Billing Cycle
- How the fees are shown in the proposal, with new totals and breakdown icons
