We will work with you to define the Key Performance Indicators that underpin the success of the business. These will be a combination of financial and non-financial measures. We'll put these into a separate report each quarter and again provide our analysis on the results, and work with you to improve the results over time. We’ll host a Quarterly Skype meeting to address anything you want to discuss with us as your professional advisers and anything that we have identified as areas that will benefit from some closer attention, guided by the reports which will be discussed in the meeting.

Pre-Year End Tax Planning Review

Annual Accounts & Corporation Tax Return

Accounts Conversion to New Reporting Standard FRS102

The new UK GAAP or IFRS reporting standards will impact all businesses with reporting periods from 01/01/2015 (optional) and 01/01/2016 (mandatory) and may impact reported profits, tax charges and distributable reserves.

* Full accounts are no longer required (even though they are actually quite useful!)
* Abbreviated accounts will be replaced by Abridged Accounts which do not show a profit and loss account or a directors report
* Transitional accounts must be produced with prior year revaluation

Mandatory changes, revaluations and policy reviews might include:

* Changes to the write-off of Goodwill
* Deferred tax on property valuation
* Assets must be assessed for impairment
* Change in definition of software and development cost
* Interest-free loans to be recorded at discounted value
* Changes in treatments of loan over one year
* Valuation of accrued holiday pay
* Changes to the valuation of stock

R&D Tax Claim - support

Confirmation Statement

VAT Return

We will be preparing and submitting your quarterly VAT returns ongoing, meaning that you will be well aware of your VAT liabilities and keep the VAT-man happy! We’re not just filing a bunch of number though, we take a 6 step approach to our VAT Returns service:

1. Create a recurring quarterly job in our job management system so we NEVER miss a deadline and begin work on the VAT return the day after the quarter end
2. Carry out an audit of ALL transactions for the period - check that purchase VAT has been claimed on every transaction that it should have been and conversely that it hasn't been claimed where it shouldn't have been
3. Ensure that you are on the best scheme to maximise your cashflow - Cash or Accruals. Also keep an eye on going over the threshold at which you HAVE to move to accruals by obligation
4. We aim to send you notification of the amount due within 3 weeks of the quarter end, giving you 2 weeks notice of the amount to be taken automatically via direct debit
5. File the VAT return on time, every time
6. Deal with any queries, enquiries or investigations from HMRC so you don't have to get involved, allowing you to focus on running your business and avoiding further cost of bringing us into an investigation.

Do It Yourself

If you are preparing and submitting your own VAT returns, we will remind you when these are due and check them for you before you submit them. We take a 3 step approach to our VAT Return - DIY Review service:

Supplier Payments & Relations

Once your supplier invoices are in Xero, they need paying. We’ll use our experience to manage suppliers to get you the best possible payment terms and then log in to your online banking to set up the payment, ready for your approval.

Paying Staff Salaries & Managing Expenses

We’ll chase, check and post your staff expense claims and set up the monthly pay run to pay all of your staff salaries and expenses. You don’t need to worry about finding the time to make sure this vital process is carried out on time.

Bank Reconciliation

In order to ensure you have up to date lists of receivables and payables, and up to date financial reporting, we’ll login to your accounting system regularly and reconcile the bank transactions so you can rely on the accuracy of the information.

Xero charge a monthly subscription for using their software. Rather than paying multiple invoices for Xero and Accountancy, this allows you to consolidate everything into one monthly fee so you have just one payment coming out of your account each month.

* Caseron Xero Support: If you would like additional 1-2-1 support for you Xero account, you can include that in your contract and we will troubleshoot any queries that you might have by email, or over a Skype session.

Receipt Bank Subscription

A handy little tool for keeping track of your company expenses - this is a great little app that let's you upload all of your purchase invoices into Xero by doing little more than taking a picture on your phone and hitting submit - what's more, using this app also gives you a pdf backup of all of your purchase invoices so no need to keep loads of fiddly paper receipts any more.

Trello - To Do List Management

Managing a Trello Account for you and your staff.

Trello subscription is free if you manage your own To Do List. If you need help managing your staff activities and job responsibilities - we can do this for you.

Use of our office as your company registered office

Personal Tax Returns

Personal tax returns are required to declare your personal income from your sole trader, partnership or company for the year.

Sole Trader Accounts - Xero

As a sole trader, you are required to prepare trading accounts and submit these to HMRC annually. This is all included within your quote and you will have peace of mind knowing that this is all taken care of for you by Caseron. You are also required to file a Personal Tax Return annually with HMRC. We’ll take care of everything that HMRC require and inform you of the income tax payment required in plenty of time.
